Mark Robert Thomas

Mark Hippie R. Thomas, 59, of Toledo passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 29, 1954 to Robert and Norma McCully Thomas. Mark married the former Colleen Cassady in Toledo on July 14 1984. He was a University of Toledo graduate and earned his B.S.E.E in 1976, his P.E. in 1983 and his M.B.A .also in 1983. From 1977 to 1998 Mark worked for the Prestolite Company and later worked for the Barns Group from 1998-2013. Mark loved traveling to Myrtle Beach, playing golf, bowling and was a big Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Boston Celtics fan. Mark is survived by his wife Colleen, son, Matthew Robert Thomas, father, Robert, mother, Norma, brothers, Jim Lynne Thomas and David Thomas, sister, Christine Thomas, niece, Rhianna Thomas, and his cat, Max. He was preceded in death by his favorite dog, Jada. Visitation for will be held on Tuesday September 10, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo Ohio 43623West of Corey Road Funeral services will be on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
