Mark Edward Sullivan

Mark Edward Sullivan, age 63 of Sylvania passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 13, 1952 in Detroit , Michigan to Jerome and Mary Barbara (Riblet) Sullivan, the only blonde child in dark haired and dark eyed family, he was a true golden child. He attended Blessed Sacrament Church and Elementary School where he began life long friendships and graduated in 1972 from St. Francis deSales High School. He began his career at a young age in the family business, Black Diamond Garden Center where he was currently a General Manager. A lover of all sports, he enjoyed playing, coaching and watching basketball and golf. He especially enjoyed his beautiful grandchildren. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara and brother-in-law Michael Lyden. Surviving is his wife of 36 years, Linda (Pinkava); daughters Cortney (Shane) Loux and Molly (Justin) Weldon; sons Joseph and Kevin Sullivan; grandchildren Macie and Nixon Loux and Payton, Adalyn and Josie Weldon; father Jerome; brother Daniel Sullivan; sisters Katherine (Robert) Edwards, Julie (David) Athanas and Emily Lyden; and a host of family and friends especially the entire Pinkava family. Friends may visit the family in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Monday from 4-8 PM where funeral services will begin Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM Tuesday in St. Josephs Church, Sylvania. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the doctors and caregivers at the Wexner Center of the Ohio State University Medical Center, the University of Michigan Cancer Center and Promedica Hospice for their care and support. Mark was generous to many charities so the family has asked that any memorials for Mark be in the form of a contribution of the donors choice.
