M. Thomas Perry, 54, of Genoa, died Saturday September 6, 2008, in the Orchard Villa, Oregon. Tom was born July 16, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to Paul E. and Caryol J. Truman Perry. Tom was the former mayor of Genoa, where he served 4 years. He was also a boilermaker and a member of Local 85. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa, and also a member of the Masons. In his early years, he had a dogsled team, and also loved tinkering in his smokehouse making smoked meats for special events. Tom loved the Cleveland Indians, playing the squeeze box, and his yearly trips to Texas to fish. He also enjoyed his companionship and conversations with his friends at Ray & Jets. Tom is survived by his former wife, Tammy Williams of Genoa, and brothers, Dave Connie Perry of Texas, Joe Janice Perry of Graytown, Dan Gina Perry of Graytown, Mike Linda Perry of Texas, and Jeff Perry of Texas; mother-in-law, Doris Dunn of Genoa; nephews, Paul, Tim, Andy, and Matt Perry; nieces, Paula Kris, Pam Skaggs, Patty Rossman, Amanda, Liz, Becky, and Katie Perry; several great nieces and nephews; and numerous special cousins uncles and aunts. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Father Paul Perry, and nephew, Joel Perry. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa with interment to follow in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown.
