Mark David Mullins died unexpectedly Saturday, March 12, 2011 at his home in Perrysburg, Ohio. He was 45. Mark graduated from Circleville High School, Circleville, Ohio. He received his undergraduate and law degrees in Alabama, his adopted home and a place for which he developed a strong fondness. He opened an office in Montgomery and practiced law for over 20 years. He recently moved to Perrysburg and joined the family business in Bowling Green. He was an avid Auburn Tiger football fan and was most proud of what the team accomplished this past year. After each success we often heard the familiar cry, War Eagle! He also kept an allegiance to Ohio State University where he was a student for two years. Mark enjoyed playing golf and often reminisced about fly fishing trips to Montana and Wyoming. His favorite pastimes were those moments with family, friends and a glass of wine. Surviving is his wife Teresa, the love of his life, his beloved children, David Bankston Mullins and Caroline Ashton Mullins of Montgomery; stepchildren, Derek Lathan, Cody Hitson Amber, currently serving our country in Afghanistan, and Brittany Hitson; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Frances Forbus all from Montgomery. Also surviving are his parents, Larry and Sue Mullins; his older brother Michael Theresa; nieces, Samantha, Annika, Sophia and nephew Matthew, all of Perrysburg. In addition, he also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Viola Robertson, several aunts and uncles and nine cousins from West Virginia and Ohio. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Basil and Lola Mullins and George Robertson. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 5-8 pm. We will celebrate his life at a funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation of America, 8301 Professional Place, Landover, MD 20785. Online condolences may be made at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. Mark will be missed enormously.
