Mark Allyn Melchior

Mark Allyn Melchior, age 60, passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born March 16, 1956 to Jerry R. and Genevieve “Jean” Melchior in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Clay High School in 1974. Mark was a tool & die maker by trade for 14 years at Reichert Stamping and later joined his father and sister at Melchior Building Company. He was a devout Christian and worshipped regularly at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in East Toledo in his youth, and later at Zoar Lutheran in Perrysburg. In addition to spending time with his family, his passions included sailing on Lake Erie with his wife Lynne at North Cape Yacht Club and being a member at Adam’s Conservation Club. He was preceded in death by both his parents. A loving son, husband, father and “Papa”, Mark’s family came second to none. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 19 years, Lynne M. Melchior, children Matthew A. Melchior and Rachel (Clint) Bankes, step-children Kristina (Tennail) Williams and Bruce (Nicole) Taberner, 2 grandchildren Carter Williams and Madden Taberner and sister Laurie (Jeff) Huskisson. Additional survivors include numerous cousins, 2 aunts and an uncle, and countless sailors and friends made over the years. Friends will be received at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM. We will celebrate Mark’s life on Monday, August 1, 2016 where friends and family will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, Ohio and a memorial service will commence at 11:00 AM. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Mark are asked to consider Zoar Lutheran Church.
