Mark K. Herwat

Mark K. Herwat, 53, of Perrysburg, passed away September 6, 2018 at Flower Hospital. He was born November 4, 1964 in Tulsa, OK to Kenneth and Janet (Ruppel) Herwat. He married Loraine A. DeChristopher on July 9, 1994 in St. Rose Catholic Church. Mark graduated from St. John’s High School where he excelled as a wrestler. He served our country in the United States Army and attended the University of Toledo. He currently worked at Quality Laboratories, Inc. He had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed. Along with his wife, those cherishing his memory include his son, Matthew (Dallas) Herwat, grandsons, Tyler and Cameron, and many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Carol (Thomas) Wintersmith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received Monday, September 10, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where the Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Prayers will be held in the funeral home, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 9:45 A.M. with a funeral mass to follow at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, OH 43551 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
