Married to Nancy M. Hawley passed away on December 14, 2021 at St. Vincent medical center in Toledo, Ohio. Mark was born in Superior Wisconsin February 5, 1948, to Steve and Alice Hawley. After graduating from Superior High School, Class of 1967, he joined the U.S. Military reserves where he served for five years. Upon returning from basic training, Mark was married to Nancy in the fall of 1967, and they spent the next fifty-four years building a life together. Mark and Nancy had a rare and beautiful marriage. Always together, seldom apart, even as they left this world and went to heaven.
Mark was a dedicated employee to numerous jobs over the years. From odd jobs to his years of service at Hudson department store, Nickles Bakery, and most recently the Toledo Public Schools. Mark was a role model to many. Admired for his work ethic, bright personality, and caring heart.
Mark spent his life not only looking out for his children and grandchildren, but also a number of foster children whose lives he was able to touch over the years. Marks favorite hobbies were spending time with his family, watching the Green Bay Packers, and eating chocolate chip cookies.
Mark was survived by his Wife, Nancy M. Hawley. Children, Christopher (Joanna) Hawley, Katy (Daniel) Tutor, Amy Morrin, and Tia Hawley. Grandchildren, Julieann Morrin, Hannah Hawley, Alex Rader, and Molly Tutor. Great-grandchildren, Vera Coplen. Sister Diana Thoreson, Twin brother Mike (Cathy) Hawley, and many close friends.
Family and Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, OH on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 4-8 PM. A celebration of Life for Mark and Nancy will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 12:30 PM in the funeral Home followed by interment at Ft. Meigs Cemetery
