Mark E. Greene, 61, of Perrysburg, peacefully went to be with the Lord after dying of natural causes Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home. He was born in Perrysburg, Ohio to Melvin J. and Evelyn M. (Spitler) Greene on January 26, 1956. Mark graduated from Perrysburg High School and from Owens Community College. He was employed at Toledo Molding and Die Inc. and worked there for many years as a Die Operator. He owned an apple orchard in Western Ohio and liked planting and taking care of the trees. Mark enjoyed golf and bike riding. He often biked to Oak Openings and Side Cut Parks with his cousin, Beth. He loved hanging out with his family especially with his great nieces and great nephews at their sporting events. Mark and his sister, Linda, looked forward to spending time with their cousins, Kathy and Jim Scholl at the fireworks every year on the 4th of July. He was a generous man who always had gifts and treats for his family. The younger ones always stated he was like Santa. Mark was a wonderful brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Mark is survived by his sister, Linda L. Bretsch; brother, Michael J. (Beverly) Greene; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins; his 96 year old special Aunt Imojean Greene; and special cousin and friend, Beth Gorby. He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Jenny Snyder. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg (419-874-3133) on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM where services will begin at Noon. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to donor’s choice.
