Mark Blackford

Mark Blackford, 30, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 07, 2009 at his home. He was born on September 28, 1979 in Marion, OH, the son of Scott Blackford and Penny Taube. Mark worked as a gourmet chef. He attended Erie Shores Assembly of God, Port Clinton, OH. Mark was a member of the David W. Leonard Aerie #2295. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Mark loved fishing but his greatest joy was being a father. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Father: Scott Connie Blackford of Marion, OH; Mother: Penny Chuck Henderson Taube of Port Clinton, OH; Partner: Christian Mahler of Marblehead, OH; Sons: 4 year old Landon Elliott Blackford, 3 year old Nathanael Evan Mahler and two year old Clayton Eli Mahler; Sisters: Jennifer William Cole of Upper Sandusky, OH, Stacey Blackford of Port Clinton, OH and Grace Blackford of Marion, OH; Paternal Grandfather: Ervin Blackford of Marion, OH; Maternal Grandmother: Jewel Taylor of Marion, OH and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Avonelle Blackford and maternal grandfather: Chester Taylor. Visitation will be 6-9PM, Friday, October 9, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Harry Hunt at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
