Marjory A. Malone

Marjory A. (Hartranft) Malone died peacefully with her family by her side on February 9, 2023, at the age of 89. She was only 4 days shy of her 90th birthday. Born in Toledo, Ohio, to her parents Orvale and Lodema Hartranft on February 13, 1933, she was one of 8 children.

She grew up in the Toledo area and graduated from Waite High School. She worked as a key punch operator for NFO and married the love of her life, Bill Malone, on May 23, 1953. They had three children. Together they loved to bowl, camp and square dance. Every weekend their children recall camping in about every state East of the Mississippi.

Marge loved to be in the middle of the action whether it was caring for her grandbabies, cooking in the kitchen, or dancing at a party. She was a great cook and an amazing baker. Her favorite game was Bingo, and she would play numerous cards at once. Her colored ink blotters were poised and ready to go.

She is survived by her children Kathy (Mark) Venzke, Jeff (Debra) Malone; grandchildren Joshua (Ursula) Malone, Tiffany Malone, Laura Bell, Mark (Claire Callis) Venzke Jr., Brittany Malone; great-grandchildren Emily (Adam) Martin, Bryant Philo , Daysia Venzke, Donavyn Carpenter, Ethan Malone, Katie Malone, Layla Bell, Bailey Malone, Noah Malone, Penelope Malone, Meckinzy Malone, Landon Malone, Kaydence Rose Angel Price, Ayngel Malone; great-great grandchildren McKenna Martin, Brady Martin, Malani Hudson.

Preceding her in death her parents; husband; son Randy Malone; grandson, Marcus Malone and her siblings Bob, Merle, Ruth, Mary Jane, Wayne, Helen, and Jerry.

The family will welcome guests on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 3 pm – 6 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel (3500 Navarre Ave.) for a time of visiting, followed by a funeral service, beginning at 6pm.

Interment will be at Lake Township Cemetery on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
