Marjorie L. (Lorenzen) Thompson-Maier, 97, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Perrysburg Commons. She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on July 24, 1921 to Minehart and Fedelia (Heid) Lorenzen. Marjorie worked for Heinz and later Cain’s Potato Chips. Marjorie was married to Richard “Dick” Thompson for 22 years until his passing on October 3, 1970 and then married to Dale E. Maier for 43 years until his passing on November 19, 2016. Marjorie was an avid bowler and golfer. She enjoyed traveling and had many golfing adventures in Florida with both her husbands. She was a member of Tanglewood Golf Course and golfed until she was in her 90’s. Marjorie is survived by her sister, Helen Lorenzen; niece, Mary Lou Bennett; and many loving great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Dick; second husband, Dale; brothers, John, Harry and William Lorenzen; sisters, Florence Gates, Laura Smith, Alice Hall, Bertha Bennett and Virginia Garner; nephews, James Bennett and Steve Garner; and nieces, Roberta Smith and Shirley Combs. A graveside service for Marjorie will be held at Wood County Memory Gardens, 15360 Liberty HI. Rd., Bowling Green, Ohio on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Paul Doerfler, officiating. Memorial contributions in Marjorie’s name may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne St., Maumee, Ohio where she was a faithful member, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
