Marjorie A. Schimming

Marjorie A. Schimming, 66, of Oregon, died early Friday morning, February 19, 2016, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. She was born December 17, 1949, in Sandusky, Ohio, to James E. and Hazel (Fritz) Melton. Marjorie married Randal Schimming in Elliston, Ohio, on January 23, 1971, and he survives. Marjorie was a homemaker, who enjoyed many hobbies; especially, crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, working crossword puzzles, and baking and cooking. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She had a great sense of humor. Marjorie was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Elliston, where she had been a Sunday School teacher. In addition to her husband, Randal, Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Joy Fuller and Shannon Petersen, grandchildren, Scott Fuller, Jr., Hazel Petersen, Samantha Fuller, Emily Fuller and Bobbie Petersen. She is also survived by her siblings, James E. Melton II, Robert Melton and Lucy Cantrell and mother-in-law, Evelyn Schimming. Her parents and father-in-law, Wesley Schimming, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa. The family suggests memorials for Marjorie to go to the Cherry Street Mission, 105 17th St., Toledo, OH 43604.
