Marjorie Lumm passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was born in 1924 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Ruth and Otto Spengler. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School and Denison University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Phi Beta Kappa. Following graduation Marjorie married her high school sweetheart, Bill Lumm. They were married for sixty years and were blessed with two daughters, Carol Buzz Flannigan and Katherine Scott Heitmann and five grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Unger Adam, Steever Flannigan Lauren, William Scott Heitmann Nora, C.J. Heitmann, and John Heitmann. Special blessings were her great-grandchildren, Wyatt Henry Unger and Katherine Delaney Heitmann. She is survived by her immediate family; her brothers, William Spengler and Dr. John Ann Spengler; and beloved nieces and nephews. Marjorie was a volunteer for many years serving Epworth United Methodist Church, the United Way, Florence Crittenden Services, the Toledo Hospital, the Junior League of Toledo, and the Toledo Museum of Art. Her life was filled with her love of family, her friends, her community and her church. In lieu of flowers, Margie would like expressions of sympathy sent to Epworth United Methodist Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or to the charity of your choice.
