Marjorie Mae (Kaufold) (Ronda) Cater, 85, passed away January 15, 2016 at her residence, Abundant Life #2. Marjorie was born September 20, 1930 in Perrysburg, Ohio to Samuel and Josephine (Brown) Kaufold. Before starting a family, Marjorie had the privilege to model in New York City. She married Thomas A. Cater in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Marjorie worked for Kurtz Meat Market/National School of Meat Cutting until its closing and then The Lions Store/Dillard’s. She and Thomas once owned and worked at the Tap Room in Toledo. The two of them loved traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed playing Skip-Bo with her friends. She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Marjorie will be remembered as a sweet, loving, generous, humble and selfless woman who always put her family first. She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Barbara (Randy) Shonk, Shirley Hoyle, Jim (Debbie) Ronda, Heather (Don) Majchrowski, Tom E. (Sue) Cater, and Pamela Lawrence; seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the Jehovah Witnesses, 139 Richards Rd, Toledo, OH 43607. Friends and family will be received from 2-5 P.M. the same day at Witzer-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133).
