Marjorie L. Anderson

Marjorie L. Anderson, 79, of Port Clinton, passed away, Friday, February 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born on August 16, 1928, in Oak Harbor, OH to Henry P. and Edna E. Goodeman Held. On August 20, 1949, in St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, she married Paul Anderson and he preceded her in death in 1999. Marjorie was an administrative coordinator for the Ottawa County Board of MRDD. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Marjorie also was President of Council for Peace Lutheran Church in 1999. She was the recording secretary for Peace Lutheran Church from 2000 through 2002. Marjorie was a member of Hannahs Circle and the adult choir at the church. She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church for 52 years. While involved with St. Johns she was superintendent of the primary department, member of the choir, and a previous chaperone of the Luther league. She was also involved in the PTA at Jefferson School in Port Clinton. Survivors include: Daughter: Martha Jack Evans of Port Clinton, OH; Son: Paul Tammy Anderson of Port Clinton, OH; Grandchildren: Joline Evans, J.J. Evans, Phillip Anderson; Sister: Jean Kenneth Harvey of Oak Harbor, OH; Sister-in-law: Lois Held of Port Clinton, OH. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband, Son Mark Anderson and brother Don Held. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Karl Kessler at 10 A.M. on Monday, February 11, 2008 at Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH.
