Marion D. Wagoner, 88, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Sunday evening, March 3, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, Ohio. He was born November 7, 1924, in Lemoyne, Ohio, to Clarence E. and Edith G. Spilker Wagoner. On December 26, 1948, in Elmore, Ohio, he married Ruth R. Gruetter and she survives. Marion worked as a farmer his entire life. He did, however, work for the Rossford Ordnance Depot in Rossford and the Erie Army Ordnance Depot in Port Clinton. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church in Elmore and a present member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Genoa. Marion was also a former member of the Genoa Grange. In addition to his wife, Ruth, Marion is survived by his son, Thomas D. Carol Wagoner of Curtice, daughters, Virginia R. Richard Schneider of Amelia, OH, Barbara J. Garth Peterson of Cincinnati, and Linda J. Larry Tucker-Smith of Walbridge; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harland Wagoner, sisters, Londa Bearinger and Martha Farris, and sister-in-law, Eloise Wagoner. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main St. Genoa, with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Memorials for Marion may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; or Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430.
