Marion E. Midge VanLandingham, age 93, passed away Saturday March 1, 2008 at Heatherdowns Rehabilitation and Residential Care Center. Midge was born in Port Matilda, Pennsylvania to Daniel and Maude Sharer. She married Donald Red VanLandingham in 1936 and they remained married until his death in 1981. Midge was a homemaker and a former member of First EUB church. She took care of her beloved sister, Gladys, when she was dying of Tuberculosis. While living on Auburn Ave. she and her husband, Red, took many of the neighborhood kids on trips to Cedar Point or to her hometown in Pennsylvania. On Central Ave. their house was always filled with neighbors and friends. Special thanks to all of her grandchildren for giving her so much joy. She loved you all so very much. Thanks to each and every one of you who took time out of your busy schedule to visit her. Midge is survived by her daughter, Kay Bomer; grandsons, James Deb Misson and Ross Bomer; granddaughter Cindy Mark Fowler; great-grandchildren Jessica, Sara, Zachery, Justin and Jarod along with loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held from 1-9:00 PM Tuesday March 4, 2008 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral services will at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
