Marion Bud Arthur Biery, 87, of Evart, Michigan, passed away October 16, 2008. Born in Delta, OH, on September 3, 1921, to Frederick Arthur and Herma Smith Biery, he spent his youth in Toledo, OH, graduating from Macomber High School and then serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. Remaining in Toledo, he earned a degree in architecture and married Donna Chandley on April 12, 1946. Together they raised four children, remaining married for 44 years before she preceded him in death on December 2, 1990. He leaves his second wife, Naomi Orra Hamilton, whom he married on October 3, 1998, in Evart, Michigan, where he spent his retirement years. Bud worked for the Libbey Owens Ford Company for 30 years before retiring in 1979. After retirement he continued providing architectural consulting services to the Toledo community and worked on the Toledo Zoo expansion and Owens Illinois World Headquarters building projects. Bud was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman, belonging to many of the sports organizations. He was a 32nd degree, 50 year Master Mason member of the Masonic Rubicon and Blue Lodges, as well as a member of The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons at the Fort Meigs Chapter, The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Toledo, The Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio - Toledo Council No. 33, The Knights Templar - Commandery NO. 7 Toledo, OH, and the Zenobia Shriners. Bud is survived by his wife, Naomi; sons, Marton A. Linda of Lansing, Kansas; Douglas A. of Evart, Michigan; Bruce A. Lu of Walbridge, OH, and daughter, Rhonda Mark Stohrer of Round Rock, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He has been preceded in death by his parents, sister and one beautiful granddaughter. The family welcomes visitation at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH, on Sunday, October 26th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Monday, October 27th from 2-9 p.m. with a Masonic service on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Marion will be laid to rest next to his wife, Donna at Toledo Memorial Park following 11:00 a.m. services on Tuesday, October 28th at the funeral home. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Buds memory are asked to consider a charity of the donors choice.
