Mario Capotosto

Mario Capotosto passed away peacefully on August 19, 2018 at age 91. He was born in Akron, Ohio to Domnick and Carmela Capotosto. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Arriving home, he worked as a Graphic arts color artist. He also earned his pilots license and owned his own plane. He is known for his generosity and sense of humor. Mario was a longtime member of Our lady of Perpetual Help and St. Theresa Avilia in Salem, IL, where he lived with his wife, Connie, for 14 years. Surviving are sons, Michael (Virginia) and John; daughter-in-law, Betsy; grandchildren, Nicholas (Abby), Joseph (Emily), Jacob (Skyler), Anthony, Christopher (Amber), Elizabeth (Ryan); 3 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Josephine and Rosemarie (Bernard). He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; parents; son, Thomas; granddaughter, Ashley; siblings, Nellie, Gena, Angelo, and Richard. Funeral Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10-11 A.M. with Funeral Mass at 11.
