Marilyn Zwyer, age 78, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and formerly of Monclova, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
She was born on July 23, 1948, in Norwalk, Ohio, to Homer and Evelyn Fox. Marilyn was a 1965 graduate of St. Paul's High School. She went on to earn her associate's degree from The Ohio State University. On July 17, 1978, she married the love of her life, Michael Zwyer.
Marilyn began her career as an accountant for many years at Johns Manville before pursuing a successful sales career at La-Z-Boy Furniture in Holland. There, she became a top sales associate and later a manager, taking great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.
Marilyn and Michael made their home in Monclova for over 30 years before retiring to Ft. Lauderdale about a decade ago to be closer to their sons. She found great joy in spending time at the beach and cherished every moment with her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael; her sons, Kevin (Jenny) Zwyer and Gregory Zwyer; her beloved grandchildren, Zachary and Zoey; and her sisters, Jan Brady, Diane (Dwight) Roe, and Joan Fox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirlene Fox; her brothers, Jim and Mike Fox; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Brady.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee with a funeral service beginning at Noon. Burial will follow in Roth Cemetery. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
