Marilyn Buyea Wenner, 83, passed away in Naples, FL on February 12, 2012 from complications related to a hip fracture. Marilyn was born on April 1, 1928 to Kenneth and Mary Jane Zeigler Buyea in Toledo, OH. She graduated from the Toledo University on February 2, 1951 and was married to Ralph B. Wenner on February 3, 1951. She taught elementary school prior to the birth of their first child after which she devoted her life to caring for her family including 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She was a lifelong supporter of many charities and enjoyed volunteering for these causes. Marilyn and Ralph enjoyed extensive travels during their retirement years including 2 around the world cruises aboard the QE2. They moved to Florida in 1979 and to the Naples area in 1998 while they continued to enjoy summer homes in Ottawa Hills and at Devils Lake, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph B. Wenner and her son Scott A. Wenner. She is survived by children Susan Steves and Thomas Linda Wenner; grandchildren Gretchen Nate Besio, Andrew fiance Greta Haenisch and Scott L. Wenner; her sister Elizabeth Kozak; and sister-in-law Janet Webb William Barber. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Tuesday February 21 from 3-7 PM, where memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 22 at 4 PM. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorials to The Toledo Museum of Art PO Box 2132 Toledo, Ohio 43603, Hope Lutheran Church 2201 Secor Rd.
