Marilyn F. Truman, 92, of Genoa, died early morning, Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Lane Park of Oregon, Oregon, Ohio. She was born March 26, 1924, in Forest Township, Hardin County of Ohio, to Denver T. and Mae (Lambert) Kidd. Marilyn married Frank E. Truman in Oregon, Ohio, on August 16, 1941, and he preceded her in death June 12, 2000. Marilyn was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Genoa, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved baking cookies, tending to her flowers, fishing and bird watching, but she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Surviving Marilyn are her sons, Thomas (Joan) Truman of Curtice, Paul (Marie) Truman of Walbridge and daughter, Lou Anne Schlievert of Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Thomas (Emilie) Truman, Jacob Truman, David (Sarah) Truman, Ashley (Dan) McMaster, Steve (Heather) Truman, Gregg (Trisha) Truman and Laura (Joe) Clement; great grandchildren, Paige, Jacob, Kaity, Grace, Alex, Abby, Jack, Evan, Ben, Cameron, Lucy, Ava, Grayson, Emmett, Debbie, Isaac, Leah, Eli, Silas, Aaron, Josiah, Luke, Viv and Abram. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sons, Harry and Larry Truman, sister, Lola Pownell and brother, Dan Kidd. The funeral service for Marilyn will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2016, at St. Johns United Church of Christ Chapel in Genoa with one hour of visitation prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be take place in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials for Marilyn be given to St. Johns UCC, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, OH 43430; Senior Independence Hospice, 1730 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43614; or the donors choice.
