Marilyn A. Stein, 85, of Perrysburg, OH passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo on, December 14, 1930, to Charles and Margaret (Schnapp) McNutt. Marilyn was a 1949 graduate of Waite High School and in October of the same year married, Donald F. Stein, who preceded her in death on July 28, 2006. For thirteen years she worked as a secretary under the Colonel at the Rossford Army Depot and later worked as a bookkeeper for many years with Stanford and Sons Plumbing in Maumee. Marilyn also worked at Greenway Plumbing in Maumee and Quick Glass and Mirror in Toledo. She was a member of St. Rose Church in Perrysburg and Christ the King in Toledo. Her interests included square dancing, camping, sewing and going to the casino with her son-in-law, Chuck. She is survived by her children, Donna M. Thomas of Toledo, Michael J. (Sandra) Stein of Westerville, OH, Linda M. (Charles) Hablitzel of Perrysburg, Sandra A. (Lin League) Stein of Toledo, and Patrick A. (Kelly) Stein of Perrysburg; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; dear lifelong friends, Dale and Mae Vollmar. She was preceded in death by her husband, one great-great-grandchild, and sister, Margaret Jane Vollmar. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133) where a scripture service will begin at 7 P.M.. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. in St. Rose Church, 215 E. Front St in Perrysburg, with burial in St. Rose Cemetery. A special thank you to Patrick, Kelly and their family for taking care of Marilyn for many years.
