Marilyn D. Shiffert

Marilyn Dolores Shiffert, 80, of Millbury, died early Friday morning, October 14, 2011, in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. Marilyn was born June 28, 1931, in Webster Township, Wood County, to Emil and Lela Wilford Rogers. On March 18, 1950, she married Robert L. Shiffert, who preceded her in death September 7, 2005. Marilyn worked in housekeeping at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon for 21 years retiring in 1993. She was an avid painter and used to paint aerial photographs. Her family survives: son, Kenneth L. Pamela Shiffert and daughter, Karen L. Kenneth Ebert; grandchildren, Amanda Andrew Edwards, Andrea Greg Falkowski, Christopher Kimberly Ebert, Michael Crystal Shiffert and Rebecca Terry Sifers; and great grandchild, Hailey L. Falkowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, brother, Maurice Rogers, and sisters, Allegra Tracy and Dorothy Boyd. The family would like to thank the staff members at the Lutheran Home for the loving care you gave our mother this past week. You are very special people. Also, the family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially Dave for bringing music back in her life. Visitation and funeral services are private. The family has requested memorials for Marilyn to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
