Marilyn Kay Scott

Marilyn Kay Scott, 81, of Elmore, OH, passed away, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Parkview Care Center, Fremont, OH. Marilyn was born on April 18, 1935, in Grand Rapids, OH, the daughter of Floyd D. and Rowena (Hutchinson) Shetzer. On November 21, 1953 in Fremont, OH, she married Robert M. Scott and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2006. She was a member of the Elmore Church of God. Marilyn was a homemaker, who loved sewing, gardening, cooking and canning. She enjoyed music especially Danny O’Donnell and Jerry Vail. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are: Children: Jane Marie Phillips of Tiffin, OH, William Eugene (Fawnala) Scott of Perrysburg, OH, Patricia (Joe) Money of Lima, OH and James Franklin Scott II of Elmore, Sisters: Carolyn Herringsaw, and Marlene Myers; 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Gary William Scott and Steven James Scott and sister Margie Geschwind. Memorial services will be at conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Elmore Church of God, 310 Congress St., Elmore, Ohio 43416.
