Marilyn L. (Fleury) Purdham, age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at Ebeid Hospice surrounded by her family. Marilyn was a graduate of Waite High School and Bowling Green State University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was married to Thomas L. Purdham for 53 years before his passing. She was an avid shopper, golfer, quilter, seamstress, card player, and enjoyed traveling by car. Her two favorite vacation spots were San Francisco and Hilton Head Island. She was the original GPS system with her maps and AAA Trip Tik. Marilyn was an excellent baker and was known for her delicious pies. She enjoyed all times with family but her favorite two times of the year were summer and Christmas. In the summer, families came to visit and spent time in the backyard pool while enjoying margaritas and Mexican layer dip. Around the Christmas holiday, she enjoyed baking cookies, shopping for gifts, and decorating the house. Marilyn was a faithful member of Epiphany Lutheran Church for nearly 50 years and was a member of the quilting ministry over the past decade. She was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Waite High School Alumni Association. Marilyn was preceded in death by parents, Elwyn and Stella Fleury; and husband of 53 years, Thomas. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Lori) Purdham, Michelle (Carl) Hallstrom, and Robert Purdham; grandchildren, Emily and Aaron Purdham, and Jennifer, Heather, Paige and Nicholas Hallstrom; and Shih Tzu dog, Teddy. The Family would like to thank Ebeid Hospice for the comfort and care they provided during Marilyns final days.
