Marilyn A. Oliver, age 68, of Toledo, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at her home. She was born September 13, 1947 in Chicago, IL to the late Richard and Marion (Solner) Schreiner. Marilyn married Dennis G. Oliver on July 11, 1970 and he lovingly survives. Also left to cherish her memory are her sons, David (Alicia), Brett (fiance, Ashton) and James (Tracie) Oliver; grandchildren, Karen, Emma, Santos, Elliott, Eva, Matthew, Brycen, Adrianna and Chandler; great granddaughter, Addalynn; and brother, Kenneth Schreiner. Marilyn worked as an LPN at Flower Hospital both before and after taking leave to raise her family. She later worked with several area nursing homes before retirement. A member of First Baptist Church in Toledo, Marilyn loved bears and bear collectibles, often being referred to as Mama Bear. She also enjoyed reading books, especially romance novels and Glenn Beck and was a great advocate for veterans. The matriarch of her family, Marilyn will be remembered for her caring, helpful and outgoing personality. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.).
