Marilyn Charlene Never

Marilyn Charlene Never, 76, of Tecumseh, MI. passed away May 22, 2023 in her home. Marilyn was born to Samuel and Flora (Smith) Addis on January 27, 1947 in Toledo, OH. She married the love of her life Dale Never on January 2, 1968 spending 49 years together before his passing in 2017.

Marilyn was a hard worker and helped to raise her siblings after her mother took ill. Marilyn spent almost 30 years working as a cook at Krotzer’s Steak House and continued her cooking career working in the Foodtown Deli /Bakery and finally retiring after working 2 years for Bedford Elderly Care Center. Marilyn was a fighter surviving a stroke in 2015, ovarian cancer in 2020, and a fall in 2021.

Marilyn enjoyed outings with her family such as the Toledo Zoo, Cedar Point, Sterling State Park, Boston, Indiana, the Michigan Renaissance Festival, Holiday Celebrations and Sunday Dinners. She loved country music and Elvis as well as fast food (especially Burger King) and coffee.

Marilyn is survived by her children Dawn Dastoli and Marilyn “Suzie” (Joseph) O’Neil; grandchildren Danielle, David, Dale (Sarah), Kenny, Ian, siblings; Cheryl (Jan) Addis, Douglas (Julie) Addis, Annel le“Annie” (Ben) Greco, brother-in law Danny Never, and beloved companion Zoey. Marilyn is preceded in death by her loving Husband Dale, Siblings Evelyn “Evie” Ginter Goodwin and Samuel “Ed” Addis and her parents. She is lovingly known as “Aunt Meo” to her many Nieces and Nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a small Memorial Service Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St, Sylvania, OH 435360 in the Chapel of Peace, followed by burial at graveside. Flowers may be sent to Toledo Memorial Park.
