Marilyn Jane Mckimmy

Marilyn Jane McKimmy, 69, of Swanton, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Walter and Margie (Sattler) Monroe and she married James E. McKimmy on August 7, 1976 at Assumption Catholic Church. Marilyn spent many years employed as a barber. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and previously Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In her younger years, Marilyn loved arts and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, James E. McKimmy; children, Brandy (Heather) Monroe, Cristy (Danny Reyome) McKimmy, Dawn McKimmy and Jimmy (Felicia Nycum) McKimmy; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Ned (Lisa) Monroe and Joanne (Rick) Oldham and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Diane Jepson, Barb Rains, Betty Brown and Donna Ramos. Friends will be received on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
