Marilyn G Martin

Marilyn G. Martin, age 85, passed away Friday February 19, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. The daughter of Frank and Vi (Shimmons) Garey, she was born February 18, 1931 in Toledo. She was a graduate of Scott High School. Marilyn worked for Toledo Hospital and later at the Lions Store. She was very proud of her careers and enjoyed her work. Marilyn was the first person in her immediate family to own a home. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. She loved her husband, Bryce Marty very much and adored him and the time they spent together. She is survived by her children, Jan (Gary) Blaskay, Ric (Belinda) Martin; brother, John Friess, Sr.; daughter in law, Sue Martin; grandchildren, Chelsea (David) Thornton, Brenna Buchanan, Joshua and Christopher Martin; great grandchild, Sarah; Nephews, John (MaryBeth)Friess, Jr., and Justin Friess;. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marty and her parents. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2-7 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd). Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church 7800 Erie St. Sylvania, OH 43560. Memorials may be made in Marilyns memory to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
