Marilyn G. Jorgensen (Colombo) of Holland, OH entered peacefully into God’s rest surrounded by her loving family on January 14, 2016. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents Fred and Loma Colombo, her daughter Amy Jorgensen, sister-in-law Becky Colombo and nephew Christopher Colombo. She is survived by her siblings; Elizabeth (David) Mansfield, Diane (Michael) Morey, John (Diane) Colombo, and Margaret Colombo (Monty Elliot), and nieces and nephews; Sara, Amber, Loma, Gregory, Steven, Jeffery, and Laura. Marilyn was born May 23, 1945 in Heber Springs, AR and raised in Lansing, MI. After high school she became a Registered Radiological Technologist and eventually a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. She retired from Flower hospital after 18 years, and continued working at The Toledo Clinic – Cardiology Department for 7 years. While working, she obtained a BA degree from Sienna Heights College in Adrian, MI. Marilyn was outgoing, fun, and loved to have a great time. She was very giving and was a blessing to others. Her faith and trust in God was enduring and gave her strength. She loved spending time with friends and family, and made them feel special, loved and important. She inspired them to pursue their dreams. As a long time member of the Toledo Ski Club, she developed a passion for skiing. While a member she served as President, in addition to other leadership roles, and enjoyed organizing Club parties, outings and numerous ski trips to Northern Michigan as well as out West. She skied throughout the U.S., Europe and Canada. Marilyn was a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend and will be missed. The family would like to thank her neighbors and friends for their love and support, with special love and appreciation going to Dean and Sharon Eyerly. Please join the family in a celebration of her life Saturday January 30, 2016 from 1-4 pm at the Springfield Township Hall, 7617 Angola Rd, Holland OH 43528.
