Marilyn E. Estep, age 77, of Toledo, died August 31, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born May 24, 1940 in Sylvania to the late Harry L. and Irene R. Lee and graduated from Burnham High School. Marilyn retired from Fresh Products in 2001 where she had been an office manager for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, the Red Hat Society and Eleanor Kahle Senior Center. In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and was especially known for her New York style cheesecake. She was a skilled artist and liked painting and creating unique items such as ornaments for her family. In her younger years, Marilyn spent many hours bowling and antiquing with her husband. She found her greatest joy in time spent with family and her pet Chihuahuas. Marilyn will be remembered for being strong, steady, honest, and hard-working, seeing that the needs of her family were always cared for. Surviving are her children, Theresa Wanna and Daniel Estep; and grandchildren, Nadia, Brock and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dean Estep in 2006; grandson, Elias Wanna, Jr. in 2008; and siblings, Harry Clarkson, Eileen Saxton, Helen Reiger and Richard Lee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Services will begin with prayers in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 and proceed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main Street, Sylvania, for 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park followed by a luncheon at the Father Wirzel Center on the St. Joseph campus. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Eleanor Kahle Senior Center.
