Marilyn M. Conley

Marilyn M. Conley, 57, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Ayden of Oregon, after a hard-fought illness. Marilyn was born in the Philippines on August 13, 1965, to Socrates and Benita (Montoya) Monte and immigrated to the United States in 1997. She studied to become a licensed practical nurse and started her career with Orchard Villa Nursing Home in Oregon in 2003. Marilyn continued nursing there until her retirement in August of 2022, due to her illness.

Marilyn truly loved helping people and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her Catholic faith was extremely important to her and as a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, she lived true to that faith every day.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Margot V. and her husband Jimrod Sumalpong, Marion V. Monte, and Aaron E. Conley, grandchildren, Angel and Jerimiah, ex-husband Charles Conley, and siblings, Marrietta Dongon, Mario Monte, and aunt Josefina Comiso, along with nieces and nephews she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marlon Monte.

Visitation for Marilyn will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 S. Main St., Genoa, Ohio. The Funeral Mass will follow visitation at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, Ohio. The family suggests memorials be directed to the church.
