Marilyn A. (Phillips) Brossia, 95, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1930 to Elmer and Lucille (Davis) Phillips. She graduated from Clay High School in 1948. She married Robert Brossia on July 17, 1948, at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. They enjoyed 57 years together before her husband passed away in 2004. In 1953 they started the Robert A. Brossia’s Construction Company. Marilyn was a secretary and treasurer of the company for 34 years when they retired. She was a faithful member of Zoar Lutheran Church since 1948. She taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She enjoyed helping to put the church bulletins together every Friday morning. She was also a greeter which she enjoyed doing.
She was a member of The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Dendarah Court #10 Toledo, Ohio. She was a past member of Dendarah Chorus for 22 years, a member of The Royal Order of Jesterettes #11 Toledo. Past member of Chippawa Golf Club, the ladies Golferettes, The Ladies Public Links golf traveling league. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She loved sports. She and her late husband enjoyed going to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events through the years. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She dearly loved her family and doing for others.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Steve) Delventhal; sons, John (Karen) Brossia and Jim (Barbara) Brossia; grandchildren, Stacy (Todd) Taylor, Todd (Wendy) Delventhal, Brad (Renee) Delventhal, Joshua (Libbe) Brossia, Kurt (Danielle) Brossia, Kyle (Mackenzie) Brossia, Reese (Shelly) Brossia, Jolynn (Kenton) Myers and Jarod (Katherine) Brossia; twenty-one great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, sister, Jeanette (Walter) Humberger and sister-in-law, Jane Phillips. Along with her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Melvin Phillips, Richard Phillips, sisters, Ethel Phillips, Doris Hartman, and long-time companion, Don Toland.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 3-7 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, where a funeral service will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Perrysburg Commons and Kingston for all of their loving friendship and care that they showed. A special thank you to ComForCare and Hospice.
