Marilyn Jeanette (Cooper) Boots, 85, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Marilyn was born on May 29, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Hazel E. (Flora) & Robert W. Cooper. Marilyn was a member of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Zeta Beta Sorority. She later worked in food service at Marion General Hospital for five years. Marilyn was an avid bingo player and loved to watch her favorite sports teams, the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. She always enjoyed completing word search puzzles, reading, and making crafts. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Sherry Smith of Franklin, IN, and step-daughter, Sandy (David) Boots Julius of Marion, IN; her granddaughter, Kimberly (Todd) Craighead, and three step-granddaughters, Tiffany, Amber, and Ashley; five great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Margie A. (Richard) Cooper White of Toledo, OH. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Boots; her grandson, David James Smith; her parents, Hazel & Robert W. Cooper; her brothers, Robert W. Cooper, Jr., Theodore Cooper, and Daniel Cooper; her sisters, Evelyn Griffen and Shirley L. Herbic. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Homes & Crematory in Maumee, Ohio followed by a graveside service at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio.
