Marilyn Louise Brown Atkins Was born on 3 August 1937 to Harold H Brown and Lenore M Mersereau in Berkey, Ohio. She was delivered at her parents log home. She then lived in Silica, Ohio before moving to Medusa Gardens on Centennial Road in Sylvania, Ohio. She attended Maplewood Elementary and graduated from Burnham High School in 1956. She then went to work at Lamsons Department where she worked until 1964. On 14 March 1964, she had her first son, James M Atkins; and on 2 July 1965, she had her second son, Jeffrey A Atkins. She moved to Metamora, Ohio in 1961, when she married Paul Atkins. He left her in 1991 and divorced her in 2008. After her sons entered school, she went to work for Avon Cosmetics. Marilyn worked for Avon for 35 years. She also worked for Stanley and Marge Ottgen and their 5000 chickens. She is survived by her sons, James partner James Maize and Jeff. She is also survived by her brother Harold Jim Brown and his wife Betty. Viewing will be held at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43623 on Friday 12 March 2010 from 2-9 PM. Services will be held at Walker Funeral Home on Saturday 13 March 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial at the Amboy Township Cemetery, Metamora, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
