Marie Ellen Whitbey

September 30, 1948 — April 4, 2021

Marie Ellen (Struhar) Whitbey, 72 of Reminderville, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, surrounded by loving family. She had a great knack for decorating and owned her own Interior Design business for years before going to school to become a nurse. She took great pride in caring for elderly people, so it was only natural that when she retired from nursing, she started her own senior services business called Granny and Gramps Gal Friday. She was a tremendous giver and it brought her so much joy to give to others. Her family could always depend on her for anything. She loved cooking, especially with her grandchildren whom she spent many hours with. She loved gardening, crafts, crocheting, reading, puzzles, playing Tetris, her pets, and spending hours on the phone talking with her daughter and grandchildren. She was an amazingly kind-hearted, generous soul with a great sense of humor. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Dale and Larry, her parents, and sister Sandra. She leaves behind her daughters Sonja (Brad) Bolinski, Chantell Norris, grandchildren Devin Ray, Blake Bolinski, and Bree Bolinski, and brother Dale (Vicky). There will be no services, private burial service only. Donations can be made to Saint Jude’s or the Humane Society of Summit County.
