Marie M. St. Clair

Marie M. St. Clair, 98, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on December 21, 1910 in Salem Township, OH to Martin and Mable Raths Hofacker. On May 9, 1938 in LaCarne, OH she married Louis E. St. Clair, and he preceded her in death in 1976. Marie was the co-owner of the Happy Hour in Oak Harbor for over 47 years and truly enjoyed her customers, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, where she was a member of the Womens Circle and the Oak Harbor American Legion Post #114 Ladies Auxiliary. Marie especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Marie is survived by her son: Larry Sandra Baumgartner St. Clair of Oak Harbor, sister: Sandra Al Genzman of Oak Harbor, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Raymond, William, Gilbert, Wilton, Russell, Kenneth, and Emmett Hofacker, and grandson: Daniel St. Clair. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
