Marie P. Howland

Marie P. Howland, age 77, of Toledo, died peacefully surrounded by her family on June 23, 2016 at her daughters home in Sylvania. Marie was born September 6, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Anthony and Caroline (Kurtz) Pressler. She married Frederick Howland on July 23,1963 and he preceded her in death January 22, 2010. Marie was a Baptized Christian and an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and traveling (especially to attend gospel concerts) and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marie was good-hearted, kind, optimistic and enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children; sons, Jeff (Donna) and Kevin (Michelle); daughter, Traci (Chris) Ruma; and step daughter, Tammy Garno; and sixteen grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4030 Douglas Rd., Toledo. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
