Marie M. Horner

Marie M. Horner, age 81, passed away Sunday Oct. 2, 2011 at Hickory Ridge Care Center in Temperance, MI. The daughter of Arthur and Alice Bridge, she was born Sept, 26, 1930 in Toledo. She married Adolph Fred Horner, Jr. on June 28, 1952. Marie did not let life just pass by. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, and many trips to the casinos. She loved to have fun and had a great sense of humor. She had a passion for cats and music. Marie was also known to speak her mind and it did not matter to whom she did. Her accomplishments in the kitchen were legendary. Most of all she will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children; Linda Mike Knowler Tayler, Mary Ernest Park, Karen Dave Pointinger Dunaway, Robert Karen Horner Sr., Patricia Michael Feitcher, Tina Adam Naus Ybarra; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Jr.; brothers Richard, and Alvin Bridge and sons-in-law, Ron Dunaway and Clarence Tayler. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2-9Pm at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
