Maribel D. Coble, 94, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg. She was born July 1, 1921 in Perrysburg, to Wilson R. and Caroline (Swartz) Kohl. Maribel married Harry Coble on August 23, 1940 in Perrysburg, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2001. Maribel was a farmer and worked as a bookkeeper for the ASCS office in Bowling Green. She was the oldest member of First United Methodist Church in Perrysburg. She enjoyed gardening and shopping; and trips to Shipshewana. Maribel loved playing pinochle with her friends and baking, always taste testing before letting anyone try them. She is survived by her daughters, Judith (Raymond) Ankenbrandt and Linda (Frank) Brahier; grandchildren, Amy Ankenbrandt, Jennifer Oyler and Matthew (Leslie) Ruetz, Emily Ruetz and Gretl (Scott) Wilson and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Oyler, Amanda Oyler, Dale Ankenbrandt and Emma Wilson. Along with her husband, Harry, Maribel was preceded in death by her brothers, Edwin and Howard. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Robert May, officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stony Ridge United Methodist Church, 5542 Fremont Pike, Stony Ridge, OH, 43463.
