Marianne Lutz

Marianne Lutz, 77, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1948, to Robert and Virginia Bellner. She was born in Maumee, OH where she grew up and graduated from Maumee High School in 1966. Marianne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, dedicating her life to her family.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, James Lutz, Jr. They married in 1970 and were to celebrate their 56th Wedding Anniversary this month. Marianne and Jim were blessed with 2 children, Lisa (Todd) Severhof and Jonathon (Jennifer) Lutz and 5 grandchildren, Jayson and Bradley (Anna) Severhof, Jessica (Rico Wyatt), Jaxson, and Jenna Lutz.

Also survived by her siblings, Pat Steel, Christina (Paul) Hamm, Doug (Sandi) Bellner, Cathy Maine, and siblings-in-law Judy Hayes and Joyce (Joe) Thorpe.

Marianne enjoyed road trips with Jim, visiting out-of-town family and discovering new restaurants and interesting places. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, supporting them in all their activities. Family get-togethers for holidays and birthdays delighted her, especially when they included playing games and sharing memories around her dining room table.

She was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, where her deep faith led her to volunteer in many projects and programs, sing in the choir, and help others in their time of need by preparing funeral luncheons.

Marianne was a humble, caring and giving person, always willing to help others any time she could. She was also a strong woman who faced every challenge in life with courage and dignity. She will be dearly missed but will always be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH 43537. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH, 43614. Burial will be private.
