Mariann L Christlieb

Mariann L. Laing, 82, a longtime Perrysburg resident, died Friday, September 1st,2023 at Otterbien Senior Living of Pemberville. Mariann was born April 13th 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Otto and Helen Wortman.

Mariann (Mimi) is survived by her sons, JD (Sandra) Laing and Mark (Karie) Laing; and daughter Patti (Keith) Johnson and siblings Paul Wortman, Bea Piehl and Janet Marden. She was also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Malcolm J. Laing and Edwin V. Christlieb.

Mimi was a graduate of Maumee High School and later Mercy School of Nursing. She devoted her working years as a registered nurse, to the pediatric unit at St. Charles Hospital and later retired after spearheading a successful grant program at East Toledo Family Center. Mimi was certified in maternal child health and touched the lives of generations. She enjoyed spending time with her family vacationing in Tobermory, Ontario and Story Lake, Indiana.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Witzler Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) with a memorial service on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Church, 601 E. Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio, with a light lunch to follow.
