MARIAN E. HANSEN Marian E. Hansen, age 97, a former resident of Walbridge for 90 years, passed peacefully into her Heavenly home, Thursday, October 18, 2012, in Genoa Retirement Village. She was born on April 20, 1915, in Rising Sun to Albert and Ruth (McDole) Taylor. Marian was an assistant Girl Scout Leader and was also a member of the Walbridge VFW Ladies Auxiliary and former Pythian Sister. When Phyllis was in school, you could find Marian volunteering her time with the PTA and the Mothers Club. She attended Mainstreet Church. Marian is survived by her loving daughter, Phyllis (Roger) Dehring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thorwell “Dutch” Hansen; and siblings, William Taylor, Cecil Taylor, and Helen Paschal. Friends will be received on Monday, October 22, 2012, from 2-9pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
