Marian Colantonio, age 95, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 20.2025. Born on May 10, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, Marian was the cherished daughter of William and Josephine (Citriglia) Cipiti.
A 1949 graduate of Port Clinton High School, Marian was known for her warm heart, vibrant spirit, and deep love of music—especially Christmas carols, which she sang with joy and passion. Her spaghetti was legendary, bringing comfort and connection to countless family gatherings.
She met and married Gerald Colantonio and they enjoyed many years together. He preceded her in 1981.
Marian was a proud member of the Grandmother’s Club, a role she embraced wholeheartedly.
She is survived by her devoted children: Matt Colantonio, Mark Colantonio, and Anthony Colantonio; her beloved grandchildren: Mark Colantonio II and Mary Ann DeLuca; her sister, Rosemary Mainous; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gerald and Mike; her siblings, Minnie Hamann, Anthony Cipiti, Joanne Cutcher, and Santo Cipiti; and her parents.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m. at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452, until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Marian’s legacy of love, laughter, and song will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
