Marian L. Burk

Marian L. Burk, 93, of Toledo, died Friday, February 1, 2008, in the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born July 13, 1914, in Whitehouse, Ohio, to Wentz and Louise Janotta. She had worked as a nurses aide. Marian was an avid reader and her many other interests included knitting and crocheting, gardening, cooking and baking. She is survived by her children, Harold Burk of Walterboro, SC, Barbara Cogle of James Island, SC, and Darlene Burk of Toledo, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, children, Raymond, William, Thomas and Sharon, brothers, Raymond and Walter, and sister, Bertha. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa. Funeral services will be private. The family has suggested memorials for Marian to a charity of the donors choice.
