Maria G. Urrutia

Maria G. Urrutia, age 91, passed away at Communicare at Waterford Commons on Dec. 26, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife for 70 years, she loved being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Mary was a foster parent and also was employed at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital where she retired. She is survived by her son Michael Michal Urrutia; daughters, Mary John Flores, Irene Mario Garcia Juarez, Helen Richard Hoffmann; 26 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; 2 children, and 1 grandson. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home on Tuesday at 12:15 PM followed by Mass of the Resurrection at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Eastern and Broadway at 1:00 PM.
