Maria C. Mann

Maria C. Mann, age 73, died December 29, 2017 at Arbors at Oregon. She was born in Toledo, OH on May 16, 1944 to Edward and Dorothy (Gale) Mann Jr. She was employed in 1969 as a Social Worker with the Lucas County Department of Human Services and in 1978 she began working in the area of Adult Protective Services. Maria met her beloved life partner, Larry Taylor, while working for the county in 1974. They traveled extensively and shared a great love of their dog Gregory. They also enjoyed riding their bicycles in local parks. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968 and a Master of Arts degree in 1972 from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. She was a member of the Omega Phi Alpha Sorority. Maria was preceded in death by her parents and by her companion Mr. Taylor-Mann. She is survived by her nephew, Darrell (Marlene) Taylor; and many special friends. . Visitation begins at noon on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W.
