Maria H Contreras

Maria H. Contreras, age 57 of Toledo passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Ebeid hospice residence, Toledo. She was born January 14, 1961 in Santa Ana, Chihuahua, Mexico. She received her Bachelors degree in accounting from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. She was an accountant for the Mexican Social Security Department for 17 years prior to moving to the United States in 1998 with her husband for his job. Upon moving, she taught English as a second language in Sylvania and also earned her Masters degree in Spanish in 2007. She taught Spanish at the University of Toledo until 2017. Surviving is her husband Mario Contreras; and daughter Nora Contreras. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Saturday from Noon until 3 PM. Funeral services will be private.
