Marguerite Cook

Marguerite Cook, 90, of Oak Harbor, OH died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on February 18, 1919 in Toledo, OH to William and Iva Porter Purcell. On January 7, 1936 in Bowling Green, OH she married Wayne Cookie Cook, and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1989. Marguerite worked at Hirzels Greenhouse for 20 years, before retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Oak Harbor Baptist Church and the Genoa Baptist Church . She also enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and working with flowers. Marguerite is survived by her son: Norman Cook of Fountain Hills, AZ; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters: Vera Bee and Alice Lupinski. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. Interment will be in Locust Point Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
